RTX Spark brings larger local AI models to Windows PCs

New laptops are planned for October 16, with desktops following in November.

NVIDIA and Microsoft announced RTX Spark for Windows laptops and compact desktops. NVIDIA says laptop preorders opened on October 7; the hardware supports up to 128GB of unified memory for running AI locally.

Why local processing matters

Compatible models can run on the computer without sending their data to a cloud model. NVIDIA also reports general availability of Microsoft Execution Containers, Windows infrastructure for controlled background agent execution.
